Very nice touch, Mr Steve, letting the game start in medias res, and telling the players what the mission briefing was in the form of a flashback. Of course, then they needed to be issued equipment…

    Ross: “Is that each?”

Fin: “Why would we be issued 3 submachine guns each?!”

Steve: “You are not Sylvester Stallone! I shudder to think how you’d pull the trigger on the third one.” 😉

I am always just flat out amazed at the quality of the Santa’s Soldiers games. They have the potential to be cheesy and to Christmas-y but they never actually go down that road.

Fin: “You’re giving a flame thrower, to a snow man?”

Ross: “Yup! He’s the most qualified to use it.” 🙂

Re: Plot development – Looks like Steve found a way to work around the problem he had, with plenty of games he wants to run, and not enough time to run them all. Or to persuade his players, for that matter. 😉

I did have a dimensional sliders type game in development.  Kind of like the old TV series Quantum Leap.  Would have let me run any and all the Savage Worlds settings I wanted in the same game. . .  🙂

It’s the players, notoriously un-christmassy lot they are.   😉

Just kidding.  The point is that the elves really see themselves as a credible fighting force, so they don’t camp it up, no matter how ridiculous the situation I throw at them.  Had this one in my head for quite a while.  Of course the plans I had didn’t survive contact with the enemy, but then they never do. . .  🙂

What a novel idea! Certainly one that has never seen light on this fair site. 😉

Codenamed: “How the GM Stole Christmas”? 😉

*Sings (badly)* Ohhh, you’re a mean one, Mr Steve…

Did I miss where Tina told Eddie to start re-accepting commands from Ross?

BTW, what happened to the Coloring CompetitionTM entries? Even if it’s too late to hold a fair vote (since the audio provides some solid clues viz-a-viz what the various contestants painted), it would still be nice to see the BAGgies’ works of art. 🙂 Perhaps @[member=”WhiteKnight”] could post them on FB and put some links here, if @[member=”Hal”] hasn’t given him Gallery upload rights?

Ha, Tina asked that same question in part 2.
