Come listen to Balgin as he plays with himself…
Balgin Plays With Himself Session 01

Balgin wrote:Follow Balgin, the dwarf, as he recounts the tale of Kalgor Bloodhammer in this thrilling solo adventure. He might rattle on a bit as nostalgic old dwarfs are wont to do but when he gets started the adventure really gets going.Possibly an audio first for the site, a single player embarks upon a previously unseen solo gamebook. Hardly a new or revolutionary form of roleplaying but one we probably haven’t covered before.

Doesn’t surprise me in the leas… Oh. Wait. You means that’s the title of a recording and not a news header? Okay, I’ll listen, but there had better not be any unpleasant surprises…

This certainly is something different, I shall have to check it out quite soon. So, is this recalling the adventures of an old character, or actually working through a solo type RPG and adventure of some sort?

So, is this recalling the adventures of an old character, or actually working through a solo type RPG and adventure of some sort? It’s 10 minutes of my waxing lyrical about my lvoe for the old solo adventure gamebooks (Lone Wolf, Fighting Fantasy, Way of the Tiger, Golden Dragon, Tunnels & Trolls etc) then 35 minutes of me playing a relatively newly released solo adventure for Pathfinder that I’d stumbled across straight out of the virtual box, as it were. I’d only looked at it previously to see if it ahd downloaded correctly as the website I’d purchased it from ahd been having maintainance troubles for about 3 days and, when I fianly got to order it, I got two corrupt/aborted downloads so when I finaly got the whole thing I flipped through the pages to check it was all there.
If it’s popular then I might do some more. I’d like to do Vengeance (the Cursed Empire adventure gamebook) because it works as a really good introduction to the setting. Beyond that, I’ll see if there’s interest for more 🙄 .
