Oriental adventures is an interesting read for anybody interested in some of d&d’s history. It was one of the books released after Gygax retook control of TSR and started releasing stuff to save the company from bankruptcy. The actual book itself is rather interesting and definitely worth reading for anybody who fancies running a campaign styled around Oriental fantasy as opposed to European fantasy.

I have a copy of Oriental Adventures somewhere – 3rd edition I think, but I’ve never played anything off it.  Just out of interest – did it come out after L5R?  I remember animal themed samurai.

According to Wikipedia oriental adventures originally came out in 1985, L5R was around ’95.
