Tomorrow, April 11th, is International Tabletop Day! This means that there will be plenty of special events held, along with solid discounts on tabletop games.
For example, check out this deal from DriveThruRPG: $4.99 for Shadowrun 5E core rulebook, and $5.99 for Traveller main rulebook.

Indeed! Tomorrow my friends and I are gathering up online for all manner of random things. No idea what, but if I don’t get at least 10 hours of gaming done I’ll be upset.
Might play Sunday too.
And Magic on Monday

Happy International Tabletop Day! May all your hits be crits.
We’re celebrating tomorrow. My RPG group is currently playing a campaign in the Warcraft TRPG.

No gaming for me today, alas, but happily a boardgame did arrive in the post, so I’m doing my bit 😀 Picked up a copy of “Gear & Piston” by LudiCreations in the Leisure Games Scratch & Dent & Clearance department, less than half price.
Now all I need is to play it.

Managed a game of pandemic with friends at a library sponsored meet up. Other than that all planning and reminiscing but a good day. Glad it’s there go provide an excuse to get out. Got by the FLGS also and they were doing brisk trade.

April 11th also happened to be Barbershop Quartet Day.
I wonder whether anyone was able to combine the two. 🙂
April 13, 2015 at 1:26 pm #648774I did not manage to game either… I seem to not feel the need to need a day specifically for gaming 🙂
That’s just most Tuesdays 😛

Speaking of tabletop gaming, how about this gaming table, huh?
Developed by researchers at UC Davis, the Augmented Reality Sandbox lets users sculpt mountains, canyons and rivers, then fill them with water or even create erupting volcanoes. The UCLA device was built by Glesener and others at the Modeling and Educational Demonstrations Laboratory in the Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences, using off-the-shelf parts and regular playground sand. Any shape made in the sandbox is detected by an Xbox Kinect sensor and processed with open source software, then projected as a color-coded contour map. Liquids flow over the surface with realistic motion.

Psst, Hal & Thing and any other admins around here… Irrational Table Day still hasn’t been added to the calendar, and it’s only three weeks and a bit away! :O
