We finished up with the quest last night and I’ve posted the results. It is session 16. I thought it was a good session although it went a bit long and everyone was tired for the exciting finale.

I listened as well.
It seems there is a lot going on at your home. Gotta love the doggies. 😀
I like the woman who plays a berserker? She plays with intensity, I like that. 😉

Session 2 of the game is updated with MP3 files and other goodies.
If you want a short bio of the Players in the game you can click the Characters and Players link in the gaming area. I will hopefullly add more as the weeks go by.
I appreciate the comments of Cob and Demonix who actually wanted to listen to the nonsense!
We can see if Hal will post links to my site or not. I doubt he wants to host even more downloading as it gets expensive.

I listened to session 2, and all I have to say is “Don’t trust anybody!”

We played last night and I got all the information up and running this morning. Well, it’s still a minute before noon.
I’ve added a couple of new categories for Spells gained and Magic Items found under This Week’s adventure.
I tried a little something different with the Audio at Paul’s suggestion and I think it sounds better but tell me what you think.

Downloading now, will listen to it Monday night at work.
**joke**Might I suggest encasing all the participants in sound proof bubbles like the old “cone of silence” from Get Smart?**joke**

Yess, the audio was slightly better, there was not as much background noise, like the rest of the house was calmed down!
I love Kvendenson wanting to use the civillians as cannon fodder.
Never have I heard a more quiet reaction as the avatar came from the lake to speak to the pc’s. Man, you could hear a pin drop as all the players had brain freeze. Classic! That has to be the most patient summoned creature ever!

It turns out I didn’t do anything to the Audio! Laughing at myself. I have a free MP3 tool and it doesn’t give me many options. I have learned one and will try next week.
Yeah, the players were a bit stunned with the Avatar. I was worried the silence wasn’t making an impression. I was actually swaying like a snake at the head of the table but that doesn’t really come across so well in audio.
As always, thanks for the comments.
Oh, yeah. The cone of silence on the players would be a good idea as well. I wonder how I can convince them! 🙂

We played last night, March 5, and I have all the audio and other files loaded on the web site as of now.
I’m probably going to purchase a commercial MP3 encoder so hopefully I’ll be able to clean up the audio a bit although I think it sounds not too bad even now.
http://andyliss.us and follow the gaming link. “This Week” lists the files from this week while the “Previous Week Archive” lists files from previous sessions.

Oh man, the reference to Racer X was classic! Whoever that guy is, he should get extra XP!

My site is updated with the session from Saturday March 20, 2005.
I turned the microphone the other way and you can now hear the other end of the table quite clearly but my voice is a little low. I will keep this up but try and project next week.

This is where I got lucky. My players and I built our own permanent table that allowed me to attach two microphones, one on each end. I dug out my old Radio Shack mixer, hooked up the two microphones, then ran the output to the audio input on my computer. I downloaded a free audio recording program and a free wav to mp3 converter and voila! Instant stereo broadcast.
Can you make the mp3’s any higher bit rate, say go up to 48k? This should make the quality go up as well.
Of course, if my recordings sound like crap then I would not listen to me.

Latest session complete.
Look at first message for details.
The group was a little grumpy. Not our best effort.
