So, is there a bit in the adventure which tells you what happens if you tell the woman about the current true fate of her husband?
There’s only a small note on it, essential she seeks him out in a likely suicidal attempt, and the consequences are left up to the GM. It’s, altogether, a small side quest that is quite optional. Simply killing him is fine, and certainly would make sense for good aligned parties. Lockerbie is undead, and evil, and if he was left alive, I’d probably have him getting bolder and hunting live prey and creating a nest and such. Of course, there could be a benefit to turning a blind eye on this instead of simply rooting him out, have to love moral choices, save lives, or benefit from letting evil thrive.

– And pickle them, like herrings! Unless the heroes manage to thump him so hard on the head, the monster goes dyslexic. Then he’ll just prap his victims and tickle them.
