With the upcoming release of Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens and with Disney having changed what is considered cannon across the Star Wars universe, the good people at Outerplaces.com have put together this revised Star Wars cannon timeline to help clear things up:
So, more or less the only things left in canon, now, are the six movies, the three upcoming movies, and everything published after 2014? No more Thrawn, no more Mara Jade?
Looks like there’s going to be a lot of die-hard fans who will be rather upset, now that all those obscure facts they memorized are no longer a “real” part of the universe.
Gahhh can’t resize it, hopefully it’s not too big. Credit where credit’s due.
Nice :). I’ve been reading a few of the Journey to Star Wars The Force Awakens. I’ve read Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath and really enjoyed it. I’ve read a few of his previous books and I liked his voice telling the Star Wars story. I really liked some of the new characters. Whilst I am miffed at the loss of some characters such as Mara Jade I can certainly see enjoying these new tales.
I’ve read the Shattered Empire comic series and have enjoyed them. The artwork is great and I like the interaction between new and classic characters.
My fingers are so crossed for the new film.
