I am interested in seeing what people think of the ending. We were pretty happy with it afterwards.

Thing? I believe this is your cue to make a ‘happy ending’ comment. 😉

Well, not my favorite happy ending, but I thought it ended pretty well.

I played through the Secrets of the Ancients back in classic traveller days. It was fun hearing both how this version is different, and how the players handled the options.

I really enjoyed the ending on this one! It was really unclear if there was a clear ‘railroad’ style end in mind, but it was awesome to hear the different possibilities.

What was kind of strange though was that one character kind of dictated the ending based on his motivations. In this case, it really fit the story, but it was still kind of a surprise.

Quite good and I am now moving on to some of the other stuff from OotAK.

Each of the characters had the opportunity to be recruited into the assasination plot during their stay in prison. No way were they giving the job to Dunny, and the good captain was too much of a question mark. The guy in charge felt that the marine/pirate had the right mindset to follow through with the mission. The intended final PC choice is whether to kill the ancient or not, but in our play through only one PC was aware of that choice so he made it alone. The official story leaves it up to the gm/players what happens after they fly off into the sunset (assuming the PCs live.) I know what my choice would be if I ran anything later in that universe, but I like that it is left up in the air.
