Squadron UK 03: Inter-lewd

Squadron UK

One for all! and all for one! And then another with extra pepperoni, please.

There are two ways of presenting a gaming session like this one: thoughtful, precise editing, resulting in a focused recording without hours of unnecessary waffle and chitchat; and then there’s the Whartson Hall way in which we slap some intro music onto it and wander away to put the kettle on. This episode begins with a lot – and I mean a lot – of nattering before we move on to updating our character sheets with the campaign ratings, so I highly recommend skipping ahead to around 50 minutes in. Since some bonkers dedicated listeners have asked us in the past to keep the chat I’ve decided not to edit it out, but it really is a lot of talk as the players slowly turn up for the game. Once things have been updated there is a bit of gaming, really a setup for the next part of the series as the heroes decide to work together and then get asked to take on a task: you can probably jump to the next session without missing much if you’re only listening for the action-packed bits, ’cause there aren’t any here. This text has been brought to you by the Royal Society for Lowering Expectations.

Lunge into your Lycra and join the Whartson Hall Aethernauts for zany, madcap, four-colour shenanigans in, um, Birmingham. But maybe not this week.

Squadron UK is written and published by Simon Burley and is available in PDF and printed formats.

Intro and outro musical excerpts are by that most splendid gentleman Professor Elemental, used with his kind permission. The Whartson Hall Aethernauts play through the Google+ Hangouts facility rather than face-to-face in a room. Despite our best efforts, listeners may find some reduction in sound quality as a result. Or it could be due to talking around a faceful of pizza.

The Players:
